Circuit of The Americas will run NASCAR activities from Feb. 27 through March 1, at 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd. in Del Valle. Fans can catch practice and qualifying sessions before the main race, the DuraMAX Texas Grand Prix, which starts Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

Wonders & Worries will hold its Wonders & Worries Envision Gala on Feb. 27, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the JW Marriott Austin, 110 E. Second St. The gala marks the nonprofit’s 25th anniversary and will celebrate the organization that provides free professional support to children and teens coping with a parent’s serious illness or injury.

Austin Animal Services and Greater Good Charities will offer a free spay and neuter clinic for owned pets from Feb. 26 through March 2 at 11580 Stonehollow Drive, Suite 160. Pets receiving surgery will also get vaccinations, flea and tick treatments, and microchips; owners must register and drop off animals between 6 and 10 a.m. and show Travis County residency.

The 100% Texas Tasting Experience takes place March 1 at noon in Fredericksburg, at 1411 Lower Crabapple Road. The Texas Wine Growers event will pour 20 wines made entirely from Texas-grown grapes, and pairings will include meats, breads, salsas, pickles, and sweets from across the state.

The ATX Open runs through March 1 at Westwood Country Club, 3808 W. 35th St., featuring a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw. Confirmed participants include Venus Williams, Jelena Ostapenko, and defending champion Jessica Pegula, offering world-class women’s professional tennis action in Austin.
