Adelante boutique will launch a large game-day collection on August 1, featuring burnt orange apparel, jewelry, bags, and accessories timed for the upcoming Longhorn football season. Doors open at 10 a.m., and the shop will serve cocktails starting at 2 p.m. The event takes place at 1206 W. 38th St., Ste. 4104.
Frazier's Long & Low marks its annual shark week with a program that includes shark-themed films, branded merchandise, specialty jello shots, and giveaways. The week runs from July 26 to August 1, with events at various times at 2538 Elmont Drive.
Magnolia Musical Theatre is staging a free summer production of The Addams Family musical comedy through August 17. Showtimes vary and the theater is at 12700 Hill Country Blvd. in Bee Cave.
A pirate-themed pop-up bar called Shipwreck'd has opened at The Eleanor in downtown Austin. The venue offers maritime decor and themed food and drinks, and customers who arrive in a full pirate costume receive a 10 percent discount on food and beverages. The pop-up continues through August 30 at 307 W. Fifth St., with hours varying by day.
An international exhibition titled The Art of Banksy Without Limits is on display through September 7 at 1100 E. Fifth St. The show presents more than 200 works related to Banksy, including certified original prints and photographs, lithographs, sculptures, murals, and video mapping visuals, featuring images such as the Girl With Balloon stencil.
The Long Center hosts The Drop-In, a free outdoor concert series on the lawn with views of the downtown skyline. The series runs every Thursday night through August 13; the July 30 lineup begins at 8 p.m. and features local performers including Jackie Venson, Ruthie Craft, Hayden Butler, and Paige Plaisance. The Long Center is at 701 W. Riverside Drive.
