The Red River Cultural District is hosting a three-day summer festival from July 16 through July 18, featuring dozens of local bands at venues such as Mohawk, Stubb's, Elysium, Swan Dive, and Kingdom. A night market at Liberty Lunch will run alongside the shows and include a pop-up edition of The Front Market from Future Front Texas.

Laila Bazahm’s Southeast Asian restaurant will mark its first anniversary on July 19 with drinks, three DJs, and collaborative dishes from Bun Belly, Thai Fresh, Lao'd Bar, and Curry Boys BBQ. The event begins at 5 p.m. at 1123 E. 11th St.

On July 15 several local restaurants will serve classic and creative hot dogs, with participating vendors including T-Loc's, Zee's Wiener System, Lao'd Bar, Pool Burger, and Fourths. For fans of Hunter S. Thompson, Hotel Vegas will hold an 89th birthday tribute on July 18 starting at 4 p.m., featuring a vintage market, tropical drinks, a photo booth, and live sets from Haight Ashbury Medical Clinic, Lauren Lakis, and Daiistar. The first 89 guests who buy a beverage beginning at 6 p.m. will receive a free screen-printed shirt from Feels So Good.

Roosevelt Room will celebrate its 11th anniversary on July 19 with an all-day party beginning at 3 p.m., music from trumpeter Ephraim Owens, special pricing, and a nostalgic cocktail menu that brings back several former favorites. Magnolia Musical Theatre is staging a free summer production of The Addams Family through August 17 at 12700 Hill Country Blvd. A two-day plant sale on July 18 and 19 at 900 Barton Springs Road will offer houseplants and botanical goods from various growers.
